Wow. What an incredible year.

Firstly I just want to thank all my amazing clients who made 2012 so special for me. I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d photograph weddings on 3 different continents in one year, let alone some of the best wedding venues in the UK. I feel truly honoured to have met so many wonderful people who put their complete trust in me to photograph one of the most special days of their lives. Thank you.

What you will see below is a collection of some of my personal favourites taken throughout 2012. In no particular order, just a random mess. I sincerely hope that you will get an idea of the stories I’ve tried to tell through my photographs and at least get a glimpse into some of the beautiful days I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of.

A small apology – this blog post is LONG! I just couldn’t get it any shorter. I spent far too much time trying to narrow down my choices for this end of year round-up and in the end just decided to go with loads. If you make it through all of them you’re a proper trooper 😉

I’d quickly like to thank all the people who’ve commented on my blog throughout the year too. Your support is truly appreciated. Thank you.

Heres to a great 2013 🙂

p.s, I started nearly every edit in 2012 with this song. Make a cup of tea, press play and enjoy…

Great round up Matt, although i may bill you for the amount of time it took to get through it. Think my absolute favourite is the couple on the smoky dance floor; brilliant.

Fantastic selection of images Matt, nothing but top quality documentary in there. I’m privileged to have been assisting when some of these were made too.

With work of this quality I’ve no doubt 2013 will be even better.

    All the best.

Some absolutely outstanding wedding photography on show here Matt, really really excellent. You mix subtle, relaxed portraiture with an eye for detail and for capturing ‘THE moment’. I also feel an energy and spirit that comes from your work that I’m sure is a reflection of the great rapport you manage to achieve with your couples and their guests on a wedding day. Great stuff mate. Well done.

Can’t believe this might be the first comment I’ve left on your blog. You’ve come a long way from shooting “The Bench” at uni mate. Fantastic work, you seemed to just get better and better as the year went on. You should get yourself up to the wastelands of the north sometime.
