Within the first few minutes of meeting Katy and Danny I just knew this wedding was going to be incredible – not only is Chateau Rigaud one of the best, most photogenic venues I’ve ever worked at, but Katy and Danny couldn’t have been more relaxed, and importantly, trusting! I was in fits of laughter throughout the day as Danny is a naturally hilarious dude and our sense of humour aligned perfectly. I literally left France feeling like I’d made two new mates. Awesome feeling.

Chateau Rigaud Wedding Photographer

So Chateau Rigaud is beautiful – that now goes without saying – but what really helps is when the wedding planners are excellent and do everything they can to make sure the day goes smoothly. Michelle was amazing and any wedding with her involved is instantly improved. Also, Gaynor McKernan was one of the best celebrants I’ve seen. So welcoming, calming and genuinely interested in the couple. I noticed on her website that she has a quote from Maya Angelou that reads ‘Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud’ – well thats Gaynor.

The food was immense. I mean IMMENSE. Just thinking about it is making me hungry. And the party?! Mental. Such a cool space for a party. Guy Preston kept the dance floor packed all night and Alex Chadwick absolutely smashed the saxophone which added a brilliant energy to the evening.
