What is a destination wedding photographer?
It’s pretty simply really, a destination wedding photographer is a photographer who is prepared to travel wherever their clients are getting married. A chateau in France? A villa in Spain? Italian vineyard? Moroccan desert? Nowhere is off limits! Cheap flights, airbnb and the invention of the smart phone has made travelling this incredible planet so easy, and often a lot cheaper than you might expect.
I approach each destination wedding exactly the same as if I was shooting a wedding down the road. I’m hunting non stop for natural, unobtrusive, cinematic storytelling photos packed full of wonderful moments. From the minute I arrive to the minute I finish. Some of my favourite photos from the past 12 years are of the ‘in-between’ – those in-between moments when you’re least expecting anything to happen.
Where are you heading for your destination wedding?
I’ll never forget my first destination wedding. I was flown down to the South coast of France to the incredibly chic region of Juan Les Pin – what an adventure. As soon as I landed I knew I was hooked. Destination wedding photography was the job (if you can call it that!) for me. That was 11 years ago and since then I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world photographing weddings in some of the worlds most beautiful places.
I’m often asked what my favourite destination wedding has been. To be completely honest my reply is always the same; it doesn’t matter where the wedding is, as long as people are having a great time, trust me to do my thing and keep smiling – it could be anywhere in the world! Of course a beautiful backdrop, lovely weather and warm enough for short sleeve shirts does make things a little more special!

How much does a destination wedding photographer cost?
simplicity is king (or queen)
You will receive the following:
- A pre-wedding consultation
Usually a video call is quickest and most convenient but if you’d like a trip to the seaside I’m always happy to meet face-to-face in Whitstable.
- 500+ high resolution digital photographs
All processed by me and edited in my signature style. You will have full rights to print and share the photos.
- A private website gallery + highlights slideshow
Password protected gallery with facilities for friends and family to order prints or download high resolution digital photos for free.
- All travel within Europe
Where possible I never travel the day before a wedding. I prefer to allow an extra day, for example, if your wedding is on a Saturday I’ll travel on the Thursday – bonus peace of mind for us both. All travel expenses are included. (Getting married outside Europe? I’ll send a bespoke quote).
- Unlimited coverage
I like to start at least 2-3 hours before the ceremony and I’ll be there until midnight.

Number 1 : Location, Location, Location!
Who doesn’t love being somewhere new to celebrate love and have a massive party?! When thinking about a destination wedding, the world is quite literally your oyster! Love a certain country? Why not take all your friends and family and make that place even more special!
Number 2 : Fancy an outdoor ceremony in the sun?
If you’ve always fancied having your wedding ceremony outside and would like to improve your chances of staying dry, then why not head to warmer climates to make that dream come true! Nothing beats an incredible view whilst you’re saying your vows!

Every country has its own cuisine. One of the best things about a destination wedding is being able to sample all the incredible local food. Whether that be fresh fish, incredible canapés, gastronomical 10 course meals or even just the best local ice cream; good food = good mood!!
Number 4 : Party until the early hours!
A huge perk of weddings in Europe is that they very rarely have any rules about an end time, and seeing as most people will be staying locally, it makes a perfect recipe for a killer party! Ain’t no party like a destination wedding party!
Number 5 : Why not make a weekend of it?!
Many venues on the continent will offer you the ability to have a pre-wedding ‘party’ (or dinner) the night before the wedding and then a lunch/bbq/pool party the day after.
