What an incredible year!
Narrowing down this blog post was really tough. So many wonderful memories from so many wonderful weddings. I’ve been all over the UK, Italy, France and Portugal this year for weddings and ventured to Cuba and Barcelona for some street/travel work – more of that in a blog post coming soon.
My approach to making my selections this year was to almost exclusively use ‘moments’. For me this is what wedding photography is all about. Capturing the spirit of a celebration and soul of a particular moment. As photographers we’re subconsciously driven toward moments that reflect our personalities – and I’m hoping from this set and the other work from my website – that you get a sense of who I am as a person and photographer.
It’s great to be able to reflect back on what has been such a fun year. To look through all the photos I’ve delivered to my couples and all the memories I’ve made a long the way. I honestly can’t thank everyone who trusts me to be part of their wedding day enough. It’s an honour. Thank you. I’ve got my 30th wedding of the year coming up this weekend and I honestly cannot wait. If you’ve booked me for your wedding in 2017/18 already then you’re a bloody legend and I can’t wait to work with you soon. This time next year you’ll be in the slideshow! 😀
For the photographers – every single photo I’ve taken this year for my wedding work has been on Fuji x-pro2’s. I couldn’t be happier with the system I’m now using, and as always, I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about Fuji’s and wedding work. I’ve taken somewhere close to 120,000 frames on these cameras and I plan on taking a lot more.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this blog post and if you’re a regular blog reader then thank you for your support through the year 🙂
Put the kettle on, grab a mince pie and enjoy some of my favourite frames from 2016.
